Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch ground nutmeg
  • 4 ripe bananas, peeled and cut lengthwise into halves
  • 1 pineapple, peeled, cut into ΒΌ inch rounds and cored
  • 1 pint strawberries, halved
  • 1 pint good quality vanilla ice cream

Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. Add the bananas and cook on both sides until the bananas start to soften and brown, about 3 minutes. While the bananas cook, brush the pineapple rounds with a little bit of canola oil, sprinkle with brown sugar and place on a baking sheet in the oven. Bake until softened and caramelized, about 8 to 10 minutes. Place a pineapple round in the middle of a dessert plate. Place a scoop of the vanilla ice cream in the middle of the pineapple round. Gently lift the bananas from the pan and place 2 halves on the ice cream. Spoon the sauce over the ice cream, top with strawberries and serve immediately. Enjoy!
